Before you start to market you must do some

brainstorming about your ideal customer.

Put yourself in your customers place.

Listed below are steps to get you on your way to defining your ideal customer.

Once you have identified your customer, market to those people and you will begin to see

a huge difference in your business.

 

Who is your Target Market?

1. Create a wish list of who you want to do business with.

  • What does that person look like?
    • Male, Female, young, seasoned, retired, Managerial Status etc.

2. Get clear on what you want to sell.

  • What is your product?
  • How would it benefit your customer?

3. Describe you customers world view.

  • What are their  interests?
  • What are their problems?
  • What are their goals?

4. Figure out your customers language.

  • Brainstorm business terms and keywords in your business world.

5. Synchronize your product with their needs.

  • How does your product solve their concerns?
  • How does your product solve their interest?

Once you have gone through all five steps, you will be well on your way to defining your target market.
