The Power of Intention
Currently I am reading a book called The Power of Intention By Wayne W. Dyer. My husband recommended that I read it. I found the information to be quite valuable and I wanted to share a portion of the book that I read thus far.
A common definition of intention is a strong aim, accompanied by a determination to produce a desired result. People who are driven by intention are described as having a strong will that doesn’t allow for distraction.
If you are one of those people with a never give up mentality along with an internal picture that draws you toward fulfilling your dreams, you fit this description of someone with intention.
If you are not the person described above, I have outlined how to stimulate your power of intention. Activating your power of intention is a process of connecting with your natural self and letting go of total ego identification.
Here you will find the Four Stages Activating Your Power Of Intention
1. Discipline- learning a new task that requires training your body to perform as you desire. Eliminate ego so that it is possible to train the body to activate your desires.
2. Wisdom – combined with discipline fosters your ability to focus and exercise patience as you harmonize your thoughts, intellect and feelings that work with your body.
3. Love – once disciplining the body with wisdom and intellectually studying a task, this process involves loving what you do and doing what you love. Ex. In sales you are offering what you love and then selling your love or enthusiasm to potential customers.
4. Surrender – your body and your mind aren’t running the show. That’s when you move into intent. Carlos Castaneda describes it as the universe has an immeasurable, indescribable force which shamans call intent. Everything that exists in the entire cosmos is attached to intent by a connecting link. When you surrender, you lighten up and are able to consult with your infinite soul.
The Power of intention becomes available to take you wherever you feel destined to go.
Where are you destined to in 2012? Remember to follow the process to be intentional in what you do. Read more on The Power of Intention, By Wayne W. Dyer PH.D.
